Minimal
Restrained, whitespace-led interfaces where a few elements do the work.
What it is
Minimal design strips an interface to essentials — generous whitespace, a tight type scale, and a near-monochrome palette. Hierarchy comes from spacing and weight rather than colour or ornament, so the content leads.
When to use
Content-first products, reading and writing tools, and premium or editorial brands where calm signals quality.
When not to
Dense dashboards or data-heavy tools that need many affordances visible at once — minimalism can hide function.
